The internal wastegate (IWG) bracket is used in place of the stock wastegate actuator when moving to an external wastegate setup. In the previous years, Subaru owners had to weld the IWG shut on their turbos which diminished resale value, had the chance of cracking, and made it very difficult to revert back to the stock IWG setup.
This turbo can produce a power output of up to 320whp with 650cc injectors and is a direct replacement for 2005-09 Legacy GT / 2008 WRX. The VF52 is the OEM turbocharger for the 2009-14 WRX, so all stock oil and water lines bolt up with no modification. The stock heat shield may require some trimming due to an updated wastegate configuration.
